  •  Small business accounts for 54% of GDP

  • Provides 40.9% of private sales in the U.S.

  • Provides approximately 75% of the net new jobs added to the economy.

  • Small business contributes a higher percentage of sales back into their local economies

 But...

  • 88% of small businesses failed within the first five years

  • 75% of businesses that fail cannot produce a current operating or business plan

  • Only 1 of 5 small retail businesses succeed within the first five years 

  • Only 1 of 10 restaurants succeed within the first five years.

  • 6 cents of every dollar spent with a Big Box retailer is retained/ recirculated in a community.
