We've received great feedback from our partner organizations! "The NBC website [www.SpokaneNBC.org] is a huge step toward helping the businesses and the business assistance organizations find each other”. -- Terry Chambers, SBDC “Providing a one stop site for business assistance is an asset.” -- Rose Ayars, SNAP MicroEnterprise "The Purchasing Patterns' opportunity gap analysis provides a crucial piece that small business owners need: information that can help them understand where their market base is. They don't have the time or foresight to gather this data themselves. But small businesses frequently form around opportunities to solve a problem. So one of the most important things we can do is to continue to refine this survey to demonstrate what goods and services are needed in each neighborhood. Then the small business entrepreneurs can expand to seize that opportunity." -- Terry Chambers, SBDC “Thank you for including us on the NBC website. This should prove to be a very helpful portal to the small business community.” -- Cindy Doyl, SBDC

Founded by Dr. Karen Michaelson, Executive Director of TINCAN (The Inland Northwest Community Access Network) in September of 2004, the WBC is an integral link for businesses to develop and continue to grow. Partially funded by the US Small Business Administration, the WBC is required to match these funds with community partners through sponsorships and in-kind donations. The WBC offers five core services: Free business counseling for those who have a business idea, who are launching a business, or for those who are established in business and want to tap into the next level of success; ongoing workshops on a variety of different topics for a nominal fee. One-hour workshops are $15; usage of the SAFECO Computer Lab in our Center; basic web design and web hosting for a reduced fee; open access to our Resource Center.
